Our English Coordinator is Mrs S Wheatley
English is taught using a range of resources at Moorside Primary Academy and these have been reviewed and refined to meet the needs of our children from Nursery to Year 6. We use the following elements to support our English curriculum:
- Little Wandle from Nursery to Year 2 to support reading and phonics
- Spelling Shed
- Pathways to Writing to support writing across all year groups
- Spelling Shed to support spelling beyond year 2
- Letter Join to support handwriting
- Reading plus as an intervention to support confidence and fluency
- Nessie to support our SEND children
