Our Personal Development Lead Mrs A Charlton

‘The quality of educational experience that every child receives must be of equal quality to that you would expect for your own child’

Your Child is Our Child | Aiming High

As children progress through Moorside Primary Academy, they are given a range of opportunities to thrive as individuals. We want our children to develop their own character, skills and knowledge and confidently take part in a variety of situations ensuring that they ‘have a voice to be heard’.

Our provision for personal development starts before the children enter school and aims to enable them to be confident individuals once they move on. We listen to the voice of the children, parents and our community to review the offer and ensure it is fit for purpose. We are embedding all elements of personal development within our curricular and extra-curricular offer. All children are encouraged to be active participants as well as being supported when they find things a challenge in order to support the development of resilience. We work to prepare children to take the next steps so they leave us ready to take the next steps.

Our core values run through all aspect of our personal development offer.

Our Personal Development model has several strands. We also support this through our supporting learning beyond the classroom offer.
